Peppermint Tea and Fairy Spotting {Trentham Gardens}

There are many perks to being self-employed, although some might say there are nearly as many downsides. One of my favourite things is giving myself a day off during the week; which is exactly what I did on Monday. I grabbed my best mate and we headed out to Trentham Gardens for the day.

The thing I love about days out during the week is the quietness; a crowd free space in which to walk around.

We drank (peppermint) tea whilst we sheltered from the cold, ate lunch and then spotted fairies as we walked around the lake and gardens.

I last went to Trentham a couple of years ago during August; the gardens were in full bloom and the sun was shining brightly. In stark contrast, on Monday the sky was grey, the air was cold and I had to snuggle down into my coat to try and keep warm. But I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Come rain or shine, whether winter or summer, I love being outdoors and Monday gave me the boost I needed to start my week feeling positive.

Happy Thursday!
